About

For over three decades, Christine Walker has been capturing the spirit of the prairies through bold, expressive colour and movement. A lifelong Albertan, Christine’s work reflects the beauty, resilience, and quiet poetry of the landscape she calls home — wide skies, golden fields, and the ever-changing light that stretches across the horizon.

A self-taught painter with 35 years of experience, Christine has built a signature style recognized for its vibrant strokes, intuitive layering, and fearless use of colour. Each canvas is a love letter to the land — not as it appears, but as it feels.

Beyond her own studio practice, Christine has spent over 15 years as an art educator, guiding others to explore their own creativity. Her teaching approach is rooted in encouragement and discovery — helping students of all ages learn to see the world through colour, texture, and emotion.

When she’s not painting or teaching, you’ll find Christine walking through the fields near her home, coffee in hand, collecting inspiration from the rhythm of rural life.

Christine’s work invites viewers to slow down — to breathe in the beauty of the everyday, and to find themselves in the sweep of a brushstroke.
